It used to be hard to find children that hadn't been taught religion at Sunday School, home, or church. To-day it isn't. Such children are seekers, though you wouldn't think so, and very slow at it. Are they "poor waifs" starving for indoctrination of "the truth"? Or could we perhaps gain in understanding ourselves by listening to their entirely original views? I feel that many would ask questions that would puzzle us, if encouraged to. Such as: "What sect does God belong to?". Or "Is God so unsaleable that He needs all this advertising?". "Does God like being worshipped in cold gloomy churches rather than a field of hay?". "If God only saves a few, mustn't He waste an awful lot?". "Is the devil winning?" . "If, as Christians believe, the spirit is immortal, why can't we be allowed to spend a little more time progressing or perfecting ourselves before being rushed off to an eternity of heaven or hell, equally unearned?". "Are vegetarians disobedient to the Bible?" . Will I be damned if I believe in reincarnation?". I, for one, would feel disadvantaged by some of these naive questions.
